ODEON – Federated Data and Intelligence orchestration & sharing for the digital energy transition.
ODEON responds to the need for strategic dependence of the EU energy system on external energy suppliers. To this end, it offers tools that enhance the integration of renewable energies and facilitate the decarbonization of sectors such as transportation and construction.
The ODEON project promotes the implementation of a solid, reliable and scalable framework for the management of data services related to energy supply. The artificial intelligence solutions developed offer resilient operation of the energy system under the growing integration of renewable energies and the operation of flexibility in assets distributed in the electrical grid. With ODEON, both the most relevant actors in the energy sector value chain (distributors, energy communities, aggregators, consumers and prosumers) and the different distributed assets (demand, generation, storage, electric vehicles, buildings and network) obtain mutual benefits, promoting the coordination and digitalization of the European energy distribution system.
ODEON has a budget of €22.56 M (co-financed by the EU within the framework of the HORIZON EUROPE program) and a duration of 48 months. With a consortium made up of 34 partners, under the coordination of ETRA R&D, the project is validated in 5 large-scale demonstrators in Greece, Spain, Denmark, Ireland and France.
