ETRA GROUP played a leading role in the meeting “Sustainable and digital reindustrialization: the great challenge”, organized by AMETIC
The Multisectoral Association of Spanish Electronics and Communications Companies (AMETIC) held a few dates ago the 36th edition of the Digital Economy and Telecommunications Meeting under the title “Sustainable and digital reindustrialization: the great challenge” and in which ETRA GROUP played a leading role.
The main public and private players in the technology industry met once again this year at the benchmark event for the sector in Spain to discuss the present and future of a sector that has a significant impact on the economic, industrial and social development of the country.
Innovative solutions for real problems
Antonio Marqués, ETRA’s Director of Technology and Innovation, participated on behalf of the business group as a speaker at the round table “Energy Management of Smarticities”, moderated by Adolfo Borrero, President of the Smart Cities Commission of AMETIC.
The round table highlighted the need to empower public managers to improve the use of their resources, as well as to encourage citizens to decide on the future of their cities.
In this sense, Marqués offered details about ELECTRA, the solution that ETRA proposes for the electrification of public transport fleet depots, which is called to play a key role in the process of digital and ecological transformation of urban public transport, a fundamental element in the decarbonization of our cities.
From ETRA GROUP we provide the technology that manages more than 25,000 public transport vehicles worldwide, as well as more than 10,000 traffic-light intersections.
