USERCHI<\/span><\/a>, a European project framed in the Horizon 2020 program, has as main\u00a0<\/span>objective to promote electric mobility in Europe.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>The representatives of this project had the opportunity to participate in the\u00a0<\/span>main event of intelligent transport systems in Europe this year<\/strong>, held from May 30 to June 1 in the city of Toulouse.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Indeed, ETRA I+D participated in the\u00a0<\/span><\/span>ITS European Congress<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>presenting the project during the Special Interest Session 53 on \u201cImproving EV Charging infrastructure in European urban areas\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

During this session, the improvement in the user experience in the recharging of electric vehicles was examined and the most recent advances to convert the recharging of electric vehicles into a more sustainable, accessible and economically profitable process were shown. Finally, two other projects on charging electric vehicles, eCharge4Drivers and INCIT-EV, were discussed.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The session was moderated by Dr. Evangelia Portouli (ICCS, Greece) together with the speakers Anagnostopoulou (ICCS, Greece) and Lieselot Vanhaverbeke (VUB, Belgium) for the eCharge4Drivers project. The INCIT-EV project was represented by Maurizio Arnone (LINKS Foundation, Italy); and the USER-CHI project\u00a0<\/span>was presented by Mar\u00eda Tom\u00e1s (ETRA, Spain)<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>and Silvia Valero (Barcelona Metropolitan Area, Spain).<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Together, they shared actions to seamlessly and efficiently integrate electric vehicle recharging infrastructures. As well as innovative solutions for the adoption of recharging electric vehicles in urban areas and in interurban corridors were also proposed.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The USERCHI project is part of\u00a0<\/span>the enormous R&D activity that ETRA develops at a national and European level (H2020 and Horizon Europe),<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>and which aims to transform the most advanced technologies into solutions that allow improving the quality of people and protect the planet.<\/span><\/p>\n
