Its goal is to provide a set of solutions, technologies and business models to increase the smartness, stability and security of an open, consumer-centric European energy grid. The project also aims at providing cleaner and more affordable energy for European citizens, through an enhanced use of storage technologies and electromobility and a highly increased share of RES. WiseGRID provides technological applications for different actors, such as prosumers, DSOs, ESCOS, aggregators and EV fleet operators, in order to share the benefits of the European Smart Grid in a fair, sustainable and efficient way and achieve an all-win situation.<\/p>\n<p>Last May 24th during the Energy Infrastructure Forum in Copenhagen, WiseGRID received from the hands of the Energy Commissioner of the European Commission the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/renewables-grid.eu\/activities\/good-practice-award.html\">Good Practice of the year Award<\/a><\/strong> in the <em><strong>Technology and Design<\/strong><\/em> category. This prize is awarded annually by the <em><strong>Renewables Grid Initiative<\/strong><\/em> through a jury of independent international experts. Last June 5<sup>th<\/sup>, during a ceremony held in Brussels and chaired by the Energy Commissioner in the framework of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/info\/events\/eu-sustainable-energy-week-eusew-2018-2018-jun-04_en\">EUSEW 2018<\/a><\/strong> (European Sustainable Energy Week), the project was awarded <em><strong>twice<\/strong><\/em>. First the project was appointed (by a jury of independent international experts) <em><strong>Best Energy Project of Europe in the category of Businesses<\/strong><\/em>. After that, WiseGRID also did receive the <em><strong>EUSEW Citizens Award<\/strong><\/em>, which was awarded by a popular vote carried out at European level among the 12 nominated projects.<\/p>\n<p>Al these awards have been<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/inea\/en\/news-events\/newsroom\/h2020-energy-project-wisegrid-wins-two-prizes-at-eusew-award-ceremony\">widely echoed<\/a>,<\/strong> both in the<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/grupoetra\/status\/1004037959664824320\">social networks<\/a> <\/strong>and in <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.esmartcity.es\/2018\/06\/06\/proyecto-europeo-wisegrid-liderado-etra-logra-dos-premios-ue-energias-renovables\">the<\/a> <\/strong>mass <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.europapress.es\/sociedad\/medio-ambiente-00647\/noticia-proyecto-espanol-widegrid-premiado-ue-eusew-2018-20180605183559.html\">media<\/a><\/strong>, who unanimously have recognized the excellence achieved by ETRA and the rest of WiseGRID in providing technological solutions enabling something so important for Europe as the <em><strong>energy transition<\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ETRA\u2019s WISEGRID Project keeps on receiving international recognition and awards, strengthening ETRA\u2019s position as a key provieder of technological solutions for RES, smart grids and electromobility.<\/p>\n<p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":6296,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[100],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-6282","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-lighting-and-energy"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 -
