This flexibility is becoming increasingly important as more sources are used. The EU-funded STREAM project develops a novel and robust flexibility ecosystem for low-voltage grids in existing electricity markets, from end-users to system operators. The new business models implemented by the project benefit participants and related actors in the energy services market by offering them greater management capacity over their energy assets and by economically valorising services that until now have not been remunerated. Currently, established or developing energy markets lack such services and business models.<\/p>\n<p>In this context, ETRA, as a technology provider, is leading the implementation of the local flexibility market in the Spanish pilot together with the Iberian Market Operator OMIE and the electricity distribution company (DSO) and energy cooperative ENERCOOP.<\/p>\n<p>STREAM has a budget of \u20ac10.4 million (co-funded by the EU under the HORIZON EUROPE programme). It has a duration of 48 months and a consortium of 20 partners under the technical coordination of ETRA R&amp;D.
